Lila Massoumi, MD, ABOIM
Psychiatrist & Medical Director


Dr. Massoumi's journey to psychiatry began at age 18 when she was profoundly inspired by M. Scott Peck, MD's The Road Less Traveled. Her passion for mental health stems from a deep desire to guide others on their journey toward self-awareness, self-actualization, and spiritual growth.

In addition to her dedication to patient care, Dr. Massoumi is a trailblazer in the field of psychiatry. She served as Chair of the American Psychiatric Association’s (APA) Caucus on Integrative Medicine for over a decade and has made significant contributions to the field, including authoring the first-ever chapter on Integrative Psychiatry in the APA's Textbook of General Psychiatry. She also helps shape the next generation of psychiatrists as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Michigan State University.

A recognized authority on Integrative Psychiatry, Dr. Massoumi is a frequent speaker at local and national conferences and has made multiple television appearances to share her expertise.

Dorothyrose Vowels, PA-C
Physician Assistant

Dorothyrose, a Southern California native, earned her degree in Public Health from UC Berkeley. After graduation, she built a strong foundation in public health and emergency medicine, including several years as a crisis hotline counselor. She went on to attend PA school at Northern Arizona University, after which she gained clinical expertise working in Trauma, Critical Care, and Vascular Medicine.​

Her passion for Psychiatry stems from a deep appreciation for the transformative impact of mental health care on all aspects of a patient’s well-being.

Outside of work, Dorothyrose enjoys reading, running, and waving at dogs with her one-year-old son.

Ashley Agosta, PA-C
Physician Assistant

Ashley, a native of Shelby Township, MI, earned both her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Detroit Mercy. Her fascination with the mind began during her first Psychology class in high school, sparking a lifelong passion that deepened throughout her academic journey. During her time as a medical assistant, Ashley noticed how often mental health was overlooked and resolved to prioritize her patients’ mental well-being when she became a PA.

Ashley believes that optimal functioning and well-being start with a healthy mind. She strives to create a safe, welcoming environment where patients feel free to be themselves and receive the mental health care they deserve.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys baking, reading, and taking walks with her rescue dog, Scout.

Kimberly Rorick, PA-C
Physician Assistant

Kimberly grew up in Northern Michigan and earned both her undergraduate degree in Biology and her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Detroit Mercy. Since completing her education, she has cared for patients in an Urgent Care setting, serving diverse communities and individuals from all walks of life.

With a longstanding interest in mental health, Kimberly firmly believes that a healthy mind is the foundation for a healthy body and a fulfilling life. She recognizes that seeking help can be challenging and strives to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where individuals feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and emotions. Her goal is to empower patients to express themselves openly and access the care they need.

In her free time, Kimberly enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending quality time with her friends and family.

Melanie Corsten, PA-C
Physician Assistant

Melanie was born in Vineland, Ontario, and raised in Metro Detroit. She completed her physician assistant training at Wayne State University and felt a strong calling to focus on mental health care after graduation. Her goal is to help individuals achieve their healthiest mindset while addressing their needs as whole, multidimensional individuals.

Dedicated to advancing mental health care, Melanie incorporates research and evidence-based practices into her work. She has been published in a peer-reviewed medical journal and was a featured speaker at a Mayo Clinic National Conference.

Beyond her clinical practice, Melanie is deeply passionate about community and global service. She teaches sexual health and hygiene courses in Kenya, fundraises for medical centers that provide care for patients with HIV/AIDS and their children, and supports initiatives for orphaned and vulnerable children.

As a proud military spouse, Melanie balances her professional and philanthropic commitments with her personal life. In her free time, she enjoys reading and taking long walks with her dog, Maizey.
